Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center partners with dental residents through the Johnston Memorial Hospital Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. Through this relationship with the residency program, these AEGD dental residents are licensed dentists who are able to treat patients under the supervision of experienced volunteer dental faculty. The reduced cost burden enables the center to charge reduced (sliding-scale) fees.
