About the Center

We provide effective and affordable oral health care to underserved and uninsured individuals and families in Southwest Virginia. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit community dental clinic located in Abingdon, VA to provide oral health care to uninsured and recovery program adults in Southwest Virginia. We provide direct care to vulnerable populations on a sliding fee scale.

Our Dentists

Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center partners with Dental Residents through the Johnston Memorial Hospital Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. Through this relationship with the residency program, these AEGD dental residents are licensed dentists who are able to treat patients under the supervision of experienced volunteer dental faculty. The reduced cost burden enables the center to charge reduced (sliding-scale) fees.
